Native select
The browser’s own select, at the library’s geometry. It costs no JavaScript, submits with the form, and uses the platform’s picker — which on a phone is usually better than anything a library draws.
Reach for hui-select when you need the styled listbox, option groups the host renders, or rich option markup. For a plain choice, this is the better default.
